Sam was born on October 11, 1951 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Irenaeus and Lois (Jorgenson) Timmerman. He graduated from Cuba City High School in 1969. Sam was united in marriage to Jean A. Doyle on August 20, 1977 at St. Francis de Sales Church in Hazel Green, Wisconsin.
Sam worked on the family farm with his dad before purchasing the farm himself. Faith, family, farming and friends were most important to Sam. He loved spending time with his grandchildren including golf cart rides and Pepsi parties in the basement. Sam was a faithful member of St. Rose Parish. He enjoyed collector cars, playing cards and having shop meetings. He also enjoyed watching the Badgers and Packers, whether they won or lost. Farming was Sam’s pride and joy. He loved collecting tractors, both red and green. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children through his example. Before the day was done, Sam made sure everything was finished, always being the “last one in”.
