Shawn C. Lawrence

Benton, Wisconsin Shawn C. Lawrence, 56, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Services will be at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home before the service. Shawn was born on February 22, 1961, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the son of Leonard Lawrence and Sonja (Rooney) Behrens. He attended Benton High School and graduated in 1979. He was a member of the U.S. Navy from 1982-1985. Shawn was a crane operator for Canadian Pacific Railway from 1987-present. He is survived by a son, Ty Lawrence, Mineral Point, WI; two sisters, Lenora (Mike) Cherry, New Diggings, WI, and Laurie (Ron) Cutler, Mineral Point, WI; five brothers, Timothy (Deana) Lawrence, Benton, WI, Edward Behrens, Leadmine, WI, David (Kelly) Behrens, Blue River, WI, Daniel (Patty) Behrens, Muscoda, WI, and John Lawrence, Shullsburg, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Lawrence in 2006 and Sonja Behrens in 1999. A Shawn C. Lawrence Memorial Fund has been established.
