Sheila L. Brewer

Moline, Illinois Sheila L. Brewer, 80, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Amber Ridge Memory Care in Moline. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cuba City with Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements. Sheila was born on September 30, 1938, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, the daughter of Hayden A. and Florence E. (Wiederhold) Brewer. She grew up in Cuba City and graduated from Cuba City High School in 1956 and UW-LaCrosse in 1960. Sheila taught in Crystal Lake, Illinois and then in Alaska. After earning her masters degree from the University of Oregon she was a coach, athletic director, and professor at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Jacqueline "Jackie" Brewer, of Galena, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard "Dick" Brewer.
