Shirley J. Harris, 73, of Benton, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Benton with Pastor Rodney Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Primitive Methodist Cemetery in Benton. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Benton. Friends may also call from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Shirley was born on August 18, 1936, in Benton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle (Hipkins) Raisbeck. She married Leo Harris on November 17, 1952. He preceded her in death. Shirley was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the Benton United Methodist Church, and the Bag Ladies of Shullsburg. She volunteered at the Benton Meal Site and the Benton Thrift Shop. Shirley enjoyed canning, berry picking, ticket taking for sporting events, candy making and was famous for her care packages. Survivors include her daughter, Sally (Alan) Alexander, of Benton; three grandchildren, Michelle (Dean) Alexander, Michael (Robyn) Alexander, and Melissa (Johnathon) Brown; and seven great-grandchildren, Jessica, Alysha, Jordan, Kylie, Kiara, Cadin and Ethon. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry; three sisters, Vivian, Isabelle and Mary Alice; and a special friend, Barney Curwen.
