Sr. Regina Maria Callahan, O.P.

Sinsinawa, Wisconsin Sister Regina Maria Callahan, OP, died December 5, 2021 at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, Wisconsin. She was born to Francis and Helen (Spiro) Callahan, April 23, 1928 in Chicago. She was the oldest of five children. She is survived by two sisters, Helen Buck and Dorothy Muscia, nieces, nephews, and her Dominican family. For many years Sr. Regina Maria served as teacher and principal in elementary schools in Wisconsin, New York, Iowa and Illinois. After a sabbatical at Oblate College in San Antonio, Texas, she returned to schools as a seasoned principal; as provincial finance officer; and offered her training, natural skills, and joy in life to projects and people wherever needed. Sr. Regina Maria retired because of health issues in 2003. She moved to St. Dominic Villa in 2015. Services will be held at Sinsinawa December 13-14, 2021. Casey-McNett Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Go now in peace, Regina Maria.
