Millington, Tennessee Travis J. Brandt, 45, of Millington, Tennessee, formerly of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Friday, March 17, 2017, in Memphis, Tennessee. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at First English Lutheran Church in Platteville with Pastor Michael Short officiating. Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday at the First English Church Fellowship Hall before the service. Travis was born on March 6, 1972, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Bernard O. and Jane A. (Reese) Brandt. He graduated from Cuba City High School in 1990 and received a BA degree in Microbiology from UW- Oshkosh. For the past thirteen years Travis worked for Interstate Blood Bank in Memphis. A true animal lover Travis loved his dogs and kept many fish in his 200 gallon aquarium. He rescued many animals including raccoons and a groundhog. Coming home and fishing for blue gills was a special time he spent with his dad. Travis also took pride in his flowers and gardening and he was an avid Packer fan. Survivors include his parents, Bernard and Jane (Reese) Brandt, of Cuba City; his sister, Amy (Mike) Klein, of Platteville, a nephew, Austin Smith, a niece, Kyra Klein; a special friend, Michelle Alexander, of Millington, Tennessee; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jody, in 1971; his maternal grandparents, Art and Florence Reese; and his paternal grandparents, Oscar and Alinda Brandt. A Travis J. Brandt Memorial Fund has been established.
