Kieler, Wisconsin Velma K. Droessler, 91, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Lancaster Care Center in Lancaster. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center before the service. Velma was born on April 15, 1922, in Springbrook, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Antoinetta (Clasen) Sturm. She married Roman W. Droessler on November 22, 1944, in Springbrook. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2006. Velma was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and the Council of Catholic Women. She loved to quilt and play cards. Velma was devoted to praying the rosary. Survivors include three sons, Jim (Elaine) Droessler, of Kieler, Terrance Droessler, of Dickeyville, and Wayne (Sue) Droessler, of Kieler; nine grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sally Scheckel and Celeste Sturm; and four brothers, Alphonse, Roman, Vincent, and Arnold "Arnie" Sturm. A Velma K. Droessler Memorial Fund has been established. A special thank you to the loving and caring angels of the Lancaster Care Center.
