Walter Clarence “Wally” Calvert, 67, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Benton, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, in Las Vegas. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City with Pastor Rodney Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the United Methodist Cemetery in Benton. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Wally served honorably in the Army, stationed in Korea. After service he returned to Benton to work on the family farm. Subsequently, he moved with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was employed by the State of Nevada. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Alycia Calvert and their three daughters, Emma, Ethnie, and Afton, of Boulder City, Nevada, and his sisters, Ella Mae Shacter, of San Diego, California, and Marvel Rhoades, of Pioneer, California. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Calvert, and his parents, Walter B. and Millicent Calvert.
