William J. Timmerman

November 26, 1936 — August 25, 2008

Bill was born on November 26, 1937, at home in Jamestown Township, the son of Nicholas J. and Loretta (Schardt) Timmerman. He married Mary Ellen Beckley on June 27, 1961, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in La Motte, Iowa. Bill worked as a custodian for the Cuba City School District for 40 ½ years. Bill was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed fishing, country music, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. His grandchildren loved grandpa giving them rides on his John Deere Lawn Mower, wagon, and swing. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen; his children, Angela (Ted) Roberts, of Madison, Marty (LuAnn) Timmerman, of Cuba City, Carla (Ian) Scott, of Elk Grove, California, Lynn (Jason) Wengelski, of Mosinee, Wisconsin, and Chad Timmerman (Rabiah Memon), of Portales, New Mexico; his grandchildren, Catherine Roberts, Jack Scott, and Ellie and Megan Wengelski; his step-grandchildren, Renee (Kirk) Dahl, Danielle (John) Brimeyer, Brett (Krissy) Honshel, and Jason (Stacey) Honshel; three sisters, Celine (Homer) Schaeffer, of Fennimore, Rose Mary Oyen, of Potosi, and Catherine (Irvin) Abing, of Potosi; a brother, Justin Timmerman, of Kieler; a niece, Carol (Pete) Kaster, of Friendship, and three sisters-in-law, Marge Timmerman, of Dickeyville, and Joann and Irene Timmerman both of Platteville. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Marie Timmerman; his parents, Nicholas and Loretta Timmerman; three brothers, Hank, Jim, and Joe Timmerman; and a brother-in-law, Harold Oyen.
