William J. Wilson

Hazel Green, Wisconsin William J. "Bill" Wilson, 80, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2015, at St. Francis de Sales Church in Hazel Green with Rev. Ken Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation services in Cuba City where the parish wake service will be at 12:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Monday at the church before the service. Bill was born on January 10, 1935, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Harvey M. and Mary L. (Smith) Wilson. He married Geraldine Becker on June 26, 1956. He worked at the Dubuque Packing Company for 47 years. Bill loved family vacations and campfires. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. Bill was a former Hazel Green Village Board Trustee, Fire Department Member, and Boy Scout Leader. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; two daughters, Gwen Harwick, of Hazel Green, and Jan (Sam) Miller, of Galena, IL; four sons, Bill (Linda) Wilson, of Freeport, IL, Greg (Ellen) Wilson, of Eagle River, AK, Rod (Sue) Wilson, of LaValle, WI, and James (Terri) Wilson, of Hazel Green; a daughter-in-law, Lori Wilson, of Hazel Green; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Robert and Gary Wilson, a brother, Harvey; a sister, Mary Lou Knutson, a brother-in-law, Cecil Knutson; and a son-in-law, Ron Harwick.
